The objective of this colloquium is to address the current models of tobacco consumption in young people, as its harmful effects and aspects related to addiction during youth. The scarce smoking cessation therapies adapted to this stage of life, together with a low-risk perception and a long life span, make it difficult for young people to quit smoking. In this session, the challenges of quitting smoking and the benefits of doing so will be addressed.
