"The use of nanoparticles in the development of novel cancer treatments is one of the most promising strategies in modern medicine. This occurs because the small nanoparticle size allows them to interact with both solid tumors and cancer cells in a very particular manner. In fact, nanotechnology derived from the use of nanoparticles has made possible to develop not only antitumor drugs such as Caelyx® or Abraxane®, but also the current messenger RNA vaccines Comirnaty® (Pfizer/BioNTech) or Spikevax® (Moderna). In this experience, demonstrations will be made with nanoparticles, some of their most relevant properties will be measured, and some of the synthethic preparation methods will be explained."
